The carbon pulley plate is stiff and strong as metal. The new body and cage design accommodates a 27 tooth large cog so the mountain stages can be attacked with confidence. The pulley cage design allows for the use of a short cage, even with a large 33T total capacity. Weight savings and crisper shifting are the resulting benefits.
